Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two dear friends.”
