Emerging athlete getting ready for significant competition

The rising star maintains considerable online following

Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers as she makes her first LPGA appearance later this week.

This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"He essentially suggested to go out there and relax," she added.

"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on running the country, making him quite busy."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in a mere three competitions this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.

"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He advised me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."

The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in the sport at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly among the next generation.

The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and just introduced her own apparel and wellness label.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
